Looking through my journals and email, I found out that I was wishing for a lot of good things to happen. I claimed to be “hoping,” but I did not/could not be confident the desired outcome would happen. That is not what hope is about. Hope is more than wishing.
As we put our trust in a very big God, an all-powerful God, we able to pray and trust God for the outcomes. There are promises in the Bible that give us a surety from God that if we pray according to His promises we will eventually see His answers. Whether it’s love or protection you need, God promises to be with us and help us as He sees fit. I don’t understand why some prayers are not answered (maybe because I expect the answers to be what I’m imagining the answers should be). Yet, I can be confident and hope in the best answers for me supplied by my God.
In my blogs you will find reasons to hope and lessons to learn whether the content is based on my study in the Word of God or on my recovery from alcoholism and bipolar disorder. There is also a page for other projects I have been working on. I will post each time there are new books or events to highlight. Keep watching.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12, NIV).
